About Us

Jennifer Williams created MedicalBillAdvocates.com to share her knowledge and expertise with others who have become overwhelmed by medical bills.  Through a series of personal life challenges, Jennifer learned how to navigate her way through thousands of bills and insurance company EOB's.  The billing processes in the United States are very complex leaving the patient/consumer virtually powerless against insurance companies and providers.  MedicalBillAdvocates.com was born to provide relief from the frustration and to give the patient/consumer a voice and ensure bills are accurate and fair.  Jennifer is committed to providing quality service to the patient community and has a reputation as an honest and reliable business....that gets results!

Jennifer resides in a Kansas City suburb and has conducted business in all geographic regions.  Interaction is normally completed by phone or mail allowing MedicalBillAdvocates.com to serve all 50 states.

Electronic health records will improve care for patients and bring about greater cost-effectiveness in our health sector....yet problems are emerging in the way hospitals use the systems, leading to billing mistakes to the tune of "thousands of errors in an hour,"
according to a 2010 study in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association by Ben-Tzion Karsh, an engineering professor at the University of Wisconsin

I have reported that you can save thousands by hiring a medical bill advocate to find and fight hospital billing errors for you...even if you have a Cadillac plan that covers absolutely everything (lucky you, few of us do), it's just wrong to let hospitals sloppily -- or fraudulently -- overbill. They should be held accountable.  Elisabeth Leamy - ABC News Consumer Correspondent

A bill can be re-evaluated and adjusted and re-submitted for payment within a few weeks.  Unfortunately, the resurrection of painful experiences cannot be healed by a few keystrokes nor can money once sent be easily retrieved.  It is important that people take the time to unravel the complexities of billing for health care procedures, that they ask for explanation of the mystery codes, that they contact patient advocate services.  It would seem that mistakes are occurring at the expense of the patient and/or family members who are often caught up in the pain of illness and the complexities of the actual health care.
